DERBY'S crumbling Moorways sports track could be stripped of its right to hold top athletics meetings within 12 months, a city sports chief has warned.

"There's been times when it's rained and we've had to train in the corridors and changing rooms," he said.

But he said: "We've tried co operating with the council. But now we find that we're not getting the track by 2011 and there's no guarantee we will get it later down the line.
He said: "It's possible that if the council doesn't act fast, we will end up having to train at the Shobnall track in Burton.
"It's frustrating that they have a new track but we don't, despite us being a bigger club."
